The Hitting Derby this year will be Saturday, June 22, 2019.
All players and parents from FMB and surrounding fastball and slopitch players are welcome to enter.
There will be a barbeque, inflatable obstacle course and games.
FMB apparel will be available to order and buy that day.
The player that collects the most money in sponsorship will win Blue Jays tickets for Sunday, June 30 at 1:07 pm against the Kansas City Royals.
Hitting derby is open to all FMB players, parents and players from other organizations.
10:00 am – 11:00 pm Peewees (2006 & 2007)
11:00 pm – 11:45 pm Bantam & Midgets (2001 – 2005)
11:45 pm – 12:15 pm Mosquitos (2008 & 2009)
12:15 pm – 1:00 pm Blastball, Pre-rookie, Rookie (2010 – younger)
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Open (adults and any other ages who missed their designated time)
Rules:
All players to hit with approved bats for their age group (ie. Wooden bats for Bantams and Midgets)
Blastball and Pre-rookie players have an option of hitting from a tee.
Points are awarded from designated sections marked on the ball field. 10 points are awarded to home runs and balls that hit targets placed on the field.
Ties in points will be broken with the winner being the player with the most 10 point balls, then 5 points, etc.
Ties for the most sponsorship money will be broken with the player who has the most number of sponsors being the winner.
